What should I do if a member dies at home?2022-11-11T06:29:22+00:00
  • Dial 911 for emergency assistance (an ambulance, the fire department, or the police), and a coroner (Investigation Officer) will come to your home and will sign a death certificate that gives you permission to contact a funeral home to make arrangements to transfer your loved one. Or, they may decide that an autopsy is required.
  • If permission is given Call Canada Muslim Community shall contact the relevant mosque/Funeral director, and will inform them of his/her death. CMC will then coordinate burial arrangements with the help of a family member or relative.
  • If an autopsy is required: Your loved one will be taken to the hospital for an autopsy. During that time CMC will contact the relevant mosque to inform them about the death. After the autopsy has taken place and the doctor has signed the death certificate, CMC will coordinate burial arrangements with the help of a family member or relative.

Yes, the newlywed couple must fill out a separate application but he will pay only $ 100.00 as a new member.

Additional members can only be your spouse and/ or children under 25 years.

Our services are only available within reach of Canada, Ontario GTA, therefore unfortunately if one dies in his/ her home country, Canada Muslim Community cannot provide burial or financial services.

In order to become a member you must fill up a member registration form and pay a $200 (CAD) fee (Non-refundable).
