If the family are members and they are agreeable, then we will ask for voluntary contribution from our members to bury them.

What about Canadian citizens who are currently out of the country but return often?2025-05-15T21:06:59+00:00

As long as they are registered and they make arrangements for the commitment fee to be paid when they are out of the country, they are eligible for the service.

The family will be responsible for transporting the body back to GTHA and Barzakh will take care of the rest.

It is the responsibility of the member to make sure the commitment fee is paid while they are away.

Members are only entitled to Janazah services within geographical boundaries of the GTHA

The family of the deceased is responsible for covering any expenses beyond the standard funeral contribution.

In the event of a divorce, it is the responsibility of the couple to notify Barzakh. Each individual will then be registered as a separate family, requiring a new CAD $100 registration fee. Both parties must continue to contribute CAD $20 toward each funeral cost.

Children with special needs remain under the care and responsibility of their parents, regardless of how old they are.

Once registered, members contribute CAD $20 toward the Janazah fund whenever a death occurs within the membership.

For our purposes, a family is made up of parents and their dependent children under 25 years of age.

At age 25, children must transition to their own membership, parents should notify Barzakh when this occurs. No additional fee is required upon marriage; they will simply add their spouse and children to their membership.

How will the CAD$20 commitment fee be collected?2025-05-15T20:55:17+00:00

A committee member has already been assigned to you and will reach out through email, WhatsApp, or phone with details on how to send the CAD $20.00 fee. Please ensure the contribution is made within 48 hours of a member’s passing.

What happens when a member does not pay the CAD$20 Commitment fee?2025-05-15T21:07:37+00:00

Failure to pay the commitment fee for two consecutive member deaths will result in termination of membership, as active participation is vital to the success of this initiative.
